Sonic League Radio app · Last updated 31 October 2026

This policy covers the Sonic League Radio mobile app for iOS and Android, published by The Sonic League LLC. It explains what the app collects, why, and what you can do about it.

The short version: the app has no accounts and no tracking. The only thing it ever sends anywhere about you is the handle you type when you vote in The Flava 10. Everything else stays on your phone.

Listening

You can listen without giving us anything. There is no sign-up, no account, and no profile.

When you press play, your phone connects directly to our streaming provider, Radiocast, in the same way a web browser connects to any website. Radiocast can see the IP address of that connection and uses it to count listeners. We see only the totals — how many people are listening, not who. We do not receive your IP address.

Voting

If you vote in The Flava 10, the app sends the following to our voting system, which runs on Google Apps Script and stores results in a Google Sheet:

The random identifier is not your device ID, your advertising ID, or anything Apple or Google gave us. It is a string of random characters the app makes up the first time you open it. It exists for one reason: so the same phone cannot vote twice for the same show under different names. It tells us nothing about you or your device, and deleting the app discards it.

We keep ballots for the current voting week. After each Friday show the week's votes are archived as a ranked list of songs with their scores, and the individual ballots — including handles — are cleared.

Proving a Twitch sub or Discord boost

Tier 2 Twitch subscribers and Discord server boosters get double weight on their vote. To prove it, you sign in with Twitch or Discord. That sign-in happens on Twitch's or Discord's own website, in your phone's browser. The app never sees your password.

We ask those services one question — whether you currently hold a qualifying subscription or boost — and we keep only the yes or no, for ten minutes, long enough to attach it to your ballot. We do not store the access token, your account name, your email, your follower list, or anything else those services would let us read. After ten minutes the answer is gone and verifying again means signing in again.

Twitch and Discord have their own privacy policies covering what they do when you sign in.

Reminders

If you turn on show reminders, your phone schedules them itself. Nothing is sent over the internet, we are not told that you turned them on, and we have no way to send you a notification. If you turn them off, your phone simply cancels them.

What stays on your phone

The app keeps a few things in its own storage on your device, which only it can read:

None of this is sent anywhere except as part of a ballot you choose to cast. You can clear all of it at any time: open the profile screen and tap Forget this phone, or delete the app.

What the app does not do

Links out of the app

The More screen links to Twitch, YouTube, Instagram, Threads, Mixcloud, our merch store and our website. Tapping one leaves the app. Those services have their own privacy policies and this one no longer applies.

Who else handles this information

Children

The app is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect anything from them. If you believe a child has sent us a voting handle, contact us and we will remove it.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Material changes will be announced on air and on our social accounts.
